Freelance Wordpress Developer
Self Employed | 2016 - Present
- Creating client websites
- Custom modifications on existing sites
I have been working with the Wordpress platform since 2016 when I got into affiliate marketing, Google Adsense, website flipping and internet marketing on a whole. Over time, I was able to learn and become proficient with tools and resources such as SEO, SEM and Google Analytics but also in Wordpress development as I needed to tweak premade themes from time to time.
Before long, I started taking on client work as a means of extra income and though I loved making websites, I had two one year stints as an Outreach Manager and Lead SEO before going into Wordpress Development full time.
Today, my work primarily consists of designing and developing custom coded Wordpress sites/themes, as well as extending functionality of existing websites.
Possessing an eye for detail while adhering to good design principles.
I'm able to code directly in HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.
I've worked with Elementor primarily but have used other page builders including Thrive & Beaver Builder.
I've worked with API integrations including token authentication.
I've led numerous, successful SEO campaigns over the past few years.
Website speed is a big deal for UX, sales and SEO.
I was responsible for managing a large number of local and national SEO campaigns with daily tasks including:
Use Google search operators, Ahrefs and other tools to identify and contact strong blogs in the main or related niches to partner with or purchase on behalf of the company.
Duties included:
Custom coded theme developed from client's Figma designs. Built purely with HTML, CSS (SASS), JS, PHP and ACF. No frameworks used and sporting only three plugins (ACF, an ACF table addon and Hubspot). Features include a dynamic footer, AJAX search form, tab switching pricing table.

Client was opening a brand new medical spa and wanted to convey and clean and professional feel to draw in new customers. The project also features a popup booking form easily accessible throughout the site.
Partial project: I was contracted by the client to help speed up development by creating 4 pages (2 of which were blog post templates) from Figma designs using HTML, CSS (SASS), Javascript, PHP & ACF.
The button below shows the applicable pages.
Partial project: I was contracted by the client to build a search results page by connecting to an external API that uses 60 min OAuth 2.0 token authentication.
It was seamlessly integrated into his existing page and both he and his users have loved it!
Basic but beautiful website for an author of children's books to showcase his work. This project was also designed by me.
This website was designed in Photoshop (since then, I've started using Figma more). Elementor + Elementor Pro were used to do most of the heavy lifting with occasional use of CSS and JS to overcome the limitations of Elementor. The site was built and runs with only 3 plugins: Elementor, Elementor Pro and a caching plugin.

This is another Elementor production, however, this project involved a tiny bit of Woocommerce development to modify and slim down the checkout fields a bit.
